Through this day

Father, help me through this day
Give me strength to choose your way
keep the pain from seeping in
keep my weary heart from sin
Sometimes it's hard and the road is rough
Help me continue when I've had enough
Protect me, Lord from evil things
Help me, Lord to earn my wings
Guide my mouth from evil speech
help my hands so I can reach
Lead me, Lord, to the light
Let me choose the path that's right
Let my choices be for good
Let Your good be understood
Help me, Lord to carry on
when this day is just too long
Help me, Lord, give me strength
to follow you at any length.
