My babies

I have 6 pets. Who's idea was that???? I have no idea why I have so many animals or WHEN that even happened, but I've been thinking seriously about getting a fish tank. I would want to put it in the guest room. Jordan would shit a brick though. Anyway, here's an inventory of my pets. They are all my children.

James was our first pet together. We got him nearly a month after we moved to Cherry Point. It was pretty much an impulse decision, but we went on PetFinder.com and searched for kittens and there was the cutest little orange furball that was at the pound in Havelock and we absolutely had to at least take a look. So we got, a kitten at the pound for $20 and named it Jasmine. We found out later on that it was a boy and renamed him James. He was born sometime in June of 2008

Lexi, hmm. when did we get her? Oh yes that's right. she was a christmas gift to ourselves. We got her at the end of December in 2008. She was 9 months old at the time and we found an ad in CherryPointyardsales that she was a newfoundland/Great dane mix ( she clearly is not) but we fell in love with her and got her for $100.

We got Isaac from Jordan's parents around Christmas of 2009. They brought three rabbits from Indiana, the other two, Tegan and Cadence, unfortunatly passed away since then. We still have Isaac. He's not very friendly, but he's really cute and has a lot of spunk.

Nebuchadnezzar (Neb for short) is my betta fish. He is third among the small list of fish I have had that have perished in the hands of James. My first was Leonidas, my second was Julius Caesar. Neb is going to be 6 months old this months and is a very beautiful part of our home.

Now there's Eloise. Eloise is a fun story. I found her with her three sisters along the curbside of Walmart, being sold out of the back of a Jeep by a woman who looked like a cokehead. She clamied they were Pomeranians, but I'm 80% sure that They are mostly Keeshonds. The Keeshond (pronounced KAYS-hund) is a type of spitz that looks very much like a large, gray pomeranian. Ellie is only 5 months old and was my gift to myself when Jordan deployed. I got her on May 1st of this year. I wanted a puppy in the house to keep me occupied while he was away, and to give Lexi someone to play with. I LOVE her. She is the cutest little shithead dog in the world and I adore her.

And last but not least is Cleopatra. She's a fun story too. I knew Cleo since before she was even a frog. She came into the store in one of our shipments of plants as a tadpole and I watched as she sprouted legs and lost her tail and became a pathetic frog in the plant aquarium. She tread water for a few days before one of the girls at the fish wall asked if I wanted her and so I agreed. I got a little tank, gravel and a log for her to hide in and she has been great ever since. She even ate a cricket that I got her. I've had her for about three days now.

Yep that's 6.
