This year Jordan and I are spending the holiday in North Carolina. We couldn't make the trip to Indiana, so we're having a lovely Thanksgiving together. It's the first Thanksgiving in our new house, so that makes it that much more exciting.
I called my family and Jordan called his and then we settled down for some good food. Now, as customary, I'm going to list a few things I'm thankful for.
I'm thankful for my family. I have been exponentially blessed with the most amazing people in my family. I love the support and love that I constantly feel from my parents and my brother and my sister-cousin Jo. I love them so much.
I'm thankful for the service members of this beautiful country. They sacrifice so much on a daily basis and they are not nearly recognized enough.
I'm thankful for freedom. I'm thankful to have the ability to be an American Muslim woman in a predominantly Christian society and not worry about my safety or my life. I'm thankful for the freedom that I have to practice my religion.
I'm thankful for my friends. I have the most amazing friends anyone could ever ask for. I have been so blessed.
I'm thankful for my husband. I have a husband who is strong and brave and fantastic. I'm so glad to spend this holiday with someone as wonderful as him. I love him so much.
Oh Sweetie pie that's a beautiful post. I love it and I love you very much.
