We were told when we first got engaged that we were never going to make it. How could two teenagers know what love is? How can they understand how difficult marriage is? They're still kids! But against the odds and against the whispers that we were making a wrong decision, we walked out of that church, 17 and 19 years-old, Mr. and Mrs. Jordan Hendrix. You know why? Because when we looked into each others eyes, we both saw what would keep us together. A fire that we each give to each other, that gives us the passion and the will to fight for each other, the spark that will keep us together, no matter what. "Always and Forever" was a promise we not only made to the church and our wedding guests, it was a promise we made to our hearts. A promise that through everything, thick and thin, no matter what, how hard, how exhausted we might be of each other, or of everything else, that we were meant to be together and we would never forget that. Always together. Forever. We knew that it wasn't going to be easy. We knew that we were going to break each others hearts. We knew that it was going to hurt. It was going to be dirty and it was going to be hard. But you know what we also knew? We knew that in the end, when we're both reduced to tears and there's nothing left to be said, that falling into each others arms is the only way to make it feel better. That everything is worth being together, that without each other, we'd both be lost and nothing makes us more happy than when we are together. I love you. I love you more than anything in the entire world, Jordan. When I'm scared and alone, you are the only one who can bring me out of the fear and sadness. You are the only one I am truly safe with. You are the only one I trust to protect me. You are the only one I absolutely, unquestionably, thouroughly, utterly, and wholly, adore.
Your Love, Your Life,
Chris
